Dear friends of our establishment!     

The year 2021:

This year will probably get known as "lockdown after lockdown after lockdown...", but even if it was stretching our nerves at times, our family always stayed positive and we managed to redirect our efforts accordingly to come to some achievements that would not have been possible without a lockdown.

The guesthouse:

Our bathrooms in most of our guestrooms have been rebuilt from scratch in a modern and stylish way, to meet the demands of these times. Also we fitted airconditioning in each room to ensure a certain coolness even in the hot days of summer.

We refurbished our idyllic garden with new seating areas for a lovely breakfast outside next to the flower and vegetable areas, and the driveway is now framed by 18 cypresses and lovely smelling oleander trees. Your great reviews on booking.com and tripadvisor motivate us to keep working in this direction, we do have a lovely plan laid out for a more detailed garden display.

The winery and in the cellar:

National: this vintage has been 20% less than last years, yet with an exceptional healthy growth with wonderfully fruity grapes for the white wines such as our "Gänsemarsch" and strong red wines that filled our barrels in the cellar, waiting to mature.

International: "our" very first BIO wine made in Italy close to Rimini (Markes), where we may offer our experience to our friend and owner of Azienda Felice, has taken our hearts by storm and we are incredibly happy to offer those wines also ex-cellar at the winery: "Don't be shy - try!"

Meantime in Finland, close to Helsinki, "our" vineyard is thriving absolutely splendid and we cannot wait for the very first harvest in 2022!, what a fantastic finnish-austrian cooperation.

So far for the news, and now Christmas!: Our Christmas Special for you - a parcel with selected wines and matching culinary delights!

The wine and dine "Christkindl" can be sent directly to you, your friends or wine-lovers in your acquaintance.

Within the parcel you will find a bottle of Iain Ashworth's Merlot Syrup from the C.I.A. as a present from us to you, a little pre-taste for your next stay in our cosy guesthouse in Illmitz.

The cost is € 90,-- inclusive transport within Austria, for a delivery in any other country there will be a small surcharge which we will inform you prior to the shippment. Please find the exact details further below.

Loyalty bonus:

As of 5 ordered parcels the client ordering will receive a voucher for a culinary wine tasting in our cellar.

As of 10 ordered parcels, we thank you with a voucher for a wonderful "Private Dining/Winemaker's Dinner" for the person ordering.

For an order of a voucher for a "Private Dining / Winemaker's Dinner" for two persons, we will include an overnight stay in our lovely guesthouse for the person ordering, the date of your choice and is subject to availability.

Merry Christmas # 1

NEW: since this year we can proudly offer the wines from our BIO WINE project in Italy and we have a small tasting box ready for you! It consists of the first vintage harvestet in 2020, 1 x NELLO = Biancello and 1 x ELLA = Sangiovese and eiter 100ml truffleoil, truffle honey or BIO oliveoil.
The price for the set is € 45,-- inclusive door-to-door delivery in Austria, in any other country with a small surcharge which we will inform you about prior to the shipment.

PS: This concludes our assorted Christmas Wine Box this year - with simple culinary advise:

Pussy Cat -  for your tingly start of the year!
Gänsemarsch white – ideal with light pasta or light fish dishes
Orange – fantastic with smoked salmon and mustard-dill sauce
Pole Position very low on histamines
Goldackerl BA – best with a lovely Panna Cotta, a Crème Brûlée or with pineapple peaces
Gänsemarsch red – for your great "Christmas Roast"

Merlot Syrup as our thank you – perfect with cheese, poured over vanilla ice cream or as a sauce for a beef filet, but in the ideal case just fill a raspberry and enjoy with a chilled glass of Pussy Cat!
